In these times of overall uniformity (hmm, interesting word), escalating surveillance and dumbing
and numbing down by mainstream media, the artist's free thinking stands out in stark contrast to the
ruling order. As a bright, shining star in misty darkness it renders the sightings of the unusual and rare
to appear, instead of the trivial stare in conventionality, the hearing of the original, instead of listening
to the herd mentality......a tiny, yet important point of reference, a position marker for those who
wonder where to find the wondrous and magical InMagicNation..... a small island next to a huge
continent, a little crack for light to burst forth through patterned conformity, an unexpected
blossoming in a sproutsafe regimental field, a spark in a bored ocean.......is art and the artist the
imagical reader and pleader of Freedom of Expression, - the very foundation for an open, tolerant,
loving and beautiful world.
The most constructive and "rebellious" acts we can perform - in the suffocating grip of the New
World Order- is to ....BLOSSOM : for me and you to be, and do, the best and most as free and true.
The Power of Creativity
Aren´t we all artists? Of course we are. Nothing exists without a creator.
Everything we percieve in this world is self-created. Both individually and collectively, we create
second to second, minute by minute from one year to another our own selfadopted image,
our body, and all of the seemingly permanent and stabile objects and fluid events we percieve
as real in our reality.
Some artists are more aware of their skills and more trained in their professions than others.
That is the only difference. We are all in a learning process and we all do our best as we go
along, something to be remembered as we look at the present "picture", showing perhaps some
cut down sequences from the whole or being viewed from a narrow perspective, not telling
the whole story, not presenting the painting in its enterity. Colors and shadings, and even shadows
are easily misinterpreted by prejudices as depicting the grander creation, which can only be
seen from the peak of a mountain. But most people doesn´t take the time and effort to climb
a mountain, but some do.... and they often bring with them, back on ground again, a story different
from the one usually told, officially hold. As each individual have their own version of the panoramic
story, their point of observation truly adds to an expanded view of reality, new dimensions to
the picture under way.... and more so, an increasingly number of people are waking up, realizing
old and rigid structures must go, because they no longer match either the needs, nor the
experiences of the expanded inner self. They are simply outgrown and needs to be replaced.
As reality mirrors itself, it is, of course, our own beliefs about ourselves and the nature of reality
that needs to be reconsidered. Past a period of selfexamination, expansive ones can be inserted;
beliefs that reflect our greater identity and its characteristicts of eternal validity, spontanious
creativity and durability, as consciousness experience itself, within or without form.
( reflexion: who is said to have climbed a mountain, when a mountain appears differently according
to any relative point of observation: from an ant´s worldview a pebble is a rock. And a "mountain"
large enough to have lost its relative dimensions, have ceasted to exist, is to big.... ant-steps are
giant-steps, seen from another perspective.)
Instead of canvas and colors we use thoughts and emotions, propelled by imagination, in our
artistic constructs and dramas. Instead of the perhaps limited amounts of color or the size of
the canvas, our limitations and restrictions is determined by the beliefsystems we agree to;
what we believe to be true or possible.
If fear and subsequent surpression of our natural impulses rules the way we think, and therefore
acts, prisons of all kinds are created. But prisons cannot hold for long, since creativity always
seeks its expression. The idea of permanency is in itself an illusion. Everything is vibrating,
everything is always in a state of becoming. The power of imagination belongs to everybody.
And the goal, the desire of becoming a conscious co-creator within this reality is written in
the hearts and minds of all of humanity.
Everything is possible, if we believe so. And when we believe so, it will be so.
The Tidal Wave of Rightful Anger - The Power of Love
Some says love is timid and passive, always patient and tolerant, while others point towards
concern, help, commitment and resonance. And rightly so, - indeed, these are attributes and
expressions of love. But few agree to love being aggressive. Aggressive? Love?!
Love, the creative force behing all and everything, is aggressive in its natural and spontanious
state, because love wants to explore and express; love dares, love desires, love acts and love
creates. The connection is lost or misunderstood, even distorted. The act of birth itself is
aggressive and so is the bursting forth of any flower, of any leaf.
The power which seeks expression: new forms, new foundations and renewed grounds are
not to be feared. But we have learned to fear Nature and the natural world and therefore
our own natural states of being, thus our own strong emotions, - both love and anger. We
do not trust our spontanious impulses for action, we do not trust natural forces and as a
result often shortcircuit our own power; the natural urge to act.
Some sees a storm as frightening and destructive, banning its raging force. Seemingly
devastating, it breaks up and clears away the dead and rigid, thus preparing new opportunities
for growth, -for creativity to flourish.
Everything is in a state of becoming: consciousness always seeks form. And all forms, all
manifestations are endowed with creativity, the force through which love expresses itself.
Anger is repressed love, surpressed creativity. Expressed anger breaks up conformity and
releases blocked life-force, held back by fear. Like the lion´s roar, it makes a statement,
- ENOUGH!, it draws a line in the sand. - NO MORE!
When natural aggression, the urge to act, the thrusting-out actualization is channeled into
creativity, a sense of power emerges. The freedom of energy and expressions is allowed.
But, when that power is hampered, denied its expression - shut down by fear, accumulated
anger builds up like a tidal-wave, rising in rage when finally hitting the point of critical mass.
These accumelated reservoires of withheld energy and the surpressed dried and starved out
areas, we se all around us: the few ("powerful") dictating the many ("powerless").
But, when the base of the Pyramide - the people, no longer in fear - says NO,
the power-structure breaks, because those few on the top have lost their foundation,
they do not have anyones shoulder to stand on. - The power of the people becomes obvious.
(Those instigating violence, do so from a sense of powerlessness, out of fear, and that is
something to ponder.... also, natural aggression is basically ment to prevent violence.
Love is the lack of fear, and when fear is removed, any situation can change for the better
quickly and drastically)
Perhaps the most amazing, and important aspect of the peoples occupation of Liberation
Square is the upholding of daily living: some kind of a natural and organic community
emerged within the settlements. Food and water supplies, medical care, security routines,
checkpoints, shavings and haircuttings, prayers, artworks.... was organized and upheld,
despite intimidations and violent attacks, by the people themselves, without any supervising
authority figure or "father". - "Who is your leader? They do not have any leader! Who is the
negotiater?" experts exclaimed during the unfolding uprising - which truly demonstrates the
peoples own capability of governing themselves. At least within a reasonable small enough
community, -or country. All sharing the same basic needs, regardless of income, profession,
gender or age. And that, carries a powerful meta-message of peaceful, caring and creative
cooperation!.
This breathtaking and groundbreaking protests of loving anger by the egyptian people gives
us all an idea of the magnitude of power been denied its expression for thousends of years,
- now to be heard and known. As a tidal-wave built up, it cannot be stopped once released.
This transformation is but a reflection of the deeply yearned desire for freedom within the
dreaming mind of the collective, applauded and saluted by Grandmother Earth herself:,
knowing all crisis to be therapeutic and constructive, opportunities for growth and
learning, knowing love to be the creative force behing all, and that energy must be
allowed its Freedom of Expression.
And as we all await another story to be told, we anticipate new beginnings to unfold
(who will hijack the peoples power, who will claim to be"the leader", who´s agenda
does this uprising, this destabilization of strategic regions, serve...and, what does
"orderly transition" really means, and the same with "change", - what kind of change,
.into what?)
meanwhile
I dedicate my poem " A Tiny Leaf ", written 1994, to the Egyptian people - living or dead -
because they dared to speak out, thus restored their dignity.
A tiny leaf
impresses the stone
leaves its form
to be read by another time
A joyful encounter
travels in all directions
A kiss creates ripples
at the other side of the ocean
The sun sees
Earth´s eye
Any every being
imprints the earth
leaves its form
to be found by the heart of eternity
A single breath
lives forever
joined with wind
A spark holds its integrity
while embraced by the fire
The Earth sees
ignitely Stars
and celebrate the vitality and power of the People - Viva La Vida!
A peaceful, just, sane and balanced expression is what we are looking for. Or, rather , looking
forward to, in the forthcoming new era on Earth.
